“Again, it [the kingdom of heaven] will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted his wealth to them. |
The parable of the talents. As subjects of the king, each citizen of the “kingdom” is responsible to use the gifts or currency of the kingdom to extend the kingdom. The “talent” has been en-trusted- put in trust- into our hands. |

If we don't use the gifts (talents - or is there a difference here?) that God gave us with which to glorify Him and build His Kingdom, we are missing the boat. Talents in the parable are financial, by the sound of it. What about other talents, as we call them, like abilities in various areas? Does this not apply to them too? Just asking.
