KINGDOM KONCEPTS Matthew 13:52

22

Matthew 13:

52

He said to them, “Therefore every teacher of the law who has become a disciple in the kingdom of heaven is like the owner of a house who brings out of his storeroom new treasures as well as old.”

Comment by Jesus to his disciples after they assure him that they understand “all these things”, i.e. parables about the kingdom.  They are now “teachers of the law” because they have been “given the secrets of the kingdom”. Matthew 13:11 and John 16:13-15.
Their task is to impart or share the treasure, both the truths   acknowledged by the earlier prophets and sages, and those new insights imparted by Jesus and the Holy Spirit.
